Owen B. Gregory, 80, died July 16, 2012, at Fort Pierce Health Care Center.
He was born in Wrightsville, Ga., and lived in Indian River County.
He attended the public schools of Indian River County and was a graduate of Gifford High School, Class of 1953.
Before retirement, he worked in the Vero Beach Maintenance Department.
He was a member of the Mount Zion A.M.E. Church, where he served as an usher, trustee, steward and worked on beautification projects.
Survivors include his wife, Jennie Gregory, of Vero Beach; sons, Owen F. Gregory and Michael Gregory, both of Vero Beach; daughter, Marcia L. Gregory-Thorpe, of West Palm Beach; sisters, Lillie Pearl Gregory, of Vero Beach and Mary E. Williams, of Orlando; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bennie Gregory and Rudolph E. Smith; and sister, Annie Mae Richardson.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. July 20 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home and Chapel.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. July 21 at Mount Zion A.M.E. Church, Vero Beach.
Burial will follow at Gifford Cemetery.
