Arthur G. Putnam, 92, died July 14, 2012 at VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born in Brutus, N.Y., and was a winter resident of Vero Beach for 4 years, coming from Rome, N.Y.
He was a graduate of Weedsport High School and Clarkson College, and earned a degree in chemical engineering.
After college he joined Revere Copper and Brass in Rome, N.Y., where he was employed for 43 years, serving in a variety of product and sales management positions.
He retired in 1984.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Lael Putnam, of Rome and Vero Beach; son, James Putnam, of New Hope, Pa.; daughter, Priscilla Engel, of Vero Beach, stepchildren, Lauren Heagle, Gary Jones, Bart Jones and Kristine Montalbano; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Grow Putnam; sister Mary Kessler; and brother, Robert.

There will be a private memorial service in Weedsport, N.Y. at a later date.
