Ann Christie Goodwin, 86, Vero Beach

Ann Christie Goodwin, 86, died July 11, 2012, at VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach.

She was born in Greenville, S.C., and lived in Vero Beach for 11 years, coming from Key Biscayne.

She was a Pan American Airways stewardess, a model for Coronet Modeling Agency and co-owner of Auto Tag Agency in Miami.

She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Christ Church Anglican and St. Mark’s Anglican Church, all in Vero Beach.

She also was a member of the Hibiscus Circle of Indian River Garden Club and a reciprocal member of Vero Beach Yacht Club and the Moorings Club.

She was international treasurer of World Wings International for three years and instrumental in founding its Treasure Coast chapter.

She was a founding member of St. Christopher’s By-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Key Biscayne, Key Biscayne Women’s Club and an original member of the Key Biscayne Beach Club.

She graduated from Andrew Jackson High School and attended Florida State where she belonged to Delta Zeta sorority.

Survivors include her son, Robert E. Christie II; daughter, Lynn Michelle Dawson; sister, Elizabeth Girouard; brother, Scott Brady; stepsons, Chuck, Richard, Kevin, Jeffrey and Scott Goodwin; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert E. Christie, in 1979; and second husband, C. Ray Goodwin, in 2007.

Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice House at VNA Hospice House, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. July 21 at St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Vero Beach; a second service will be at 5:30 p.m. July 25 at St. Christopher’s By-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Key Biscayne.
