Joan A. Wrightington, 83, died July 15, 2012, at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
She was born in Harrisburg, Pa., and lived in Vero Beach for 20 years, coming from New Jersey.
Before retirement, she was an office manager for a condominium community.
Previously she worked in food services.
She was a member of the American Society of Notaries, the Vero Beach Women’s Bowling Association, and later was a team sponsor.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Warren C. Wrightington; daughter, Deborah Wilson, of Cocoa; son, William Avery, of Worcester, Mass.; step-daughter, Cindy Davis, of Newport, N.H.; sister, Bonnie Myers, of Enola, Pa.; brothers, Ronald Kugler, of Mercersburg, Pa., Jerry Kugler, of Wormleysburg, Pa., and Drew Kugler, of Enola; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Arlean Collins; brother, Jerome Kugler; and step-son, Stephen Wrightington.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice House, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., with a memorial service at 2 p.m. July 20 at the Clearlake First Baptist Church in Cocoa.
