Frank “Burt” Lewis Jr., 72, died July 12, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Philadelphia and lived in Vero Beach for four years, coming from Ocean City, N.J.
He retired from the Marine Corps Reserve.
He was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and Indian River Habitat for Humanity.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen of 47 years; daughter, Elizabeth Quinn of State College, Pa.; son, Mark Lewis of Topanga, Calif.; sister, Audrey Adams of Mount Laurel, N.J.; brother, Robert Lewis of St. Louis; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be in New Jersey at a later date.
