Alfred Clark Daugherty, 88, died July 9, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Pittsburgh and lived in Vero Beach since 1975.
He was a retired chairman of Duracell International and a board member of PNC Advisors, Vero Beach.
He was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the Aleutian Islands. He graduated from Penn State University.
Survivors include his daughter, Christine Adams Johnson of Vero Beach; sister, Ann Sickeler; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Janet Elliott Daugherty.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A private family service will be conducted.
