James A. “Jay” Young, 61, died July 10, 2012, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born in Akron, Ohio, and moved to Vero Beach in 1959.
He worked as a pharmacist at Bay Street Pharmacy in Sebastian for the 8 years.
Previously, he was a pharmacist in Brevard County for 22 years.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Debbie Young; sons, Jared Smith and Christopher Young, both of Vero Beach; daughter, Allison Smith, of Vero Beach; and brother, Dave Young, also of Vero Beach.
Memorial contributions may be made to Vero Beach High School Track and Field, 1707 16th St., Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. July 14 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach, with the Rev. Bob Littleton officiating.
