Pierre Mendy, 52, died June 27, 2012.
He was born in Boutoupa, Senegal, and lived in Vero Beach for three years, coming from France.
He was educated in France as a pediatric surgeon.
While living in the United States, he worked in retail merchandising.
Survivors include his son, John; and daughter, Serena.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. July 13 with a service starting at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ and the Latter Day Saint, Vero Beach.
