Karen Ruth Ehring, 67, died July 10, 2012, at her home.
She was born in Philadelphia and lived in Sebastian for 20 years, coming from Eastchester, N.Y.
She was of Lutheran faith. She attended the University of Maryland and University of Iowa.
While in New York City, she worked at the family restaurant, Ehring’s.
She was a member and former co-chairwoman of Eastchester Beautification Foundation.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Edward L. Ehring; children, Richard and Dallas and Kristen both of New York; mother, Gladys Erstad of Montana; sisters, Jane of Montana, Ingrid of Montana and Christine of North Carolina; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tennes Erstad.

A service will be at 12:30 p.m. July 12 at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach, with the Rev. Shelia Johnson officiating.
