Alfrida M. Stansbury, 47, died June 29, 2012, at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
She was born in Aberdeen, Md., and had been a resident of Indian River County for 36 years.
She was a chef at John’s Island.
Survivors include her sons, Antwan Rivers, of Vero Beach and LaMar Rivers, of Willmar, Minn.; stepson, Juan Shuren, of Melbourne; daughter, LaKisha Collins, of Fort Pierce; mother, Daisy Mae Daily, of Vero Beach; father, Alfred Carter, of Bronx, N.Y.; brother, George Stansbury, of Kansas, Mich.; sisters, Sylvia Stansbury, Saundra Stansbury, and Mavis Brown, all of Vero Beach; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. July 6 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home and Chapel, Gifford.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. July 7 at Humble Church of God In Christ, 3655 47th St., Gifford. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
