GIFFORD — The Gifford Youth Activity Center has partnered with a newly formed group called The Indian River County Citizens Advisory Support Group.
This wonderful group has a story to tell. Why not come visit their second abusive behavior symposium entitled “Neighborhood Group Sessions?”
This symposium is geared towards adults and children age 10–17 years old. Adults are encouraged to attend. It is formulated to address various issues and such abusive behaviors as bullying, uncontrollable tempers, and other violent tendencies.
It is free to the general public and will take place on Saturday, June 30, at the Gifford Youth Activity Center at 9 a.m.
The first one hundred youth with a ticket used for the free drawing will be eligible to get a door prize if their ticket is drawn.
There will be free refreshments, food, raffle prizes, and some great information to share.
Every second and minute that we fail to address this very serious problem of abusive behavior, another child is abused, injured, and at worst; killed. Let’s stop this abusive behavior now.
This group meets the fourth Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. at the Gifford Youth Activity Center. The sessions are an hour long and are designed to allow input concerning different age groups and genders.
If you or your agency is interested in becoming a part of the solution, please contact Freddie Woolfork at (772) 794-1005 ext. 234 for more information.
Gifford Youth Activity Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It is located at 4875 43rd Ave. in Vero Beach.
