Voter Registration

Those at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, and legal resident of Florida may register to vote. A person who is otherwise qualified may preregister on or after that person’s 16th birthday and may vote in any election occurring on or after that person’s 18th birthday.

They will receive a voter information card in the mail after their 18th birthday.

Those who have been adjudicated mentally incapacitated with regard to voting in this or any other state and have not had their right to vote restored pursuant to law, or, those who have been convicted of any felony by any court of record and have not had their right to vote restored pursuant to law are not allowed to register to vote.

Those who are qualified to vote may register to do so in Indian River County either:

Online by clicking this link to begin the online application form. Once you have completed the online application, you must print it out, sign and date it, and return it to the Supervisor of Elections office in person or by mail.

After completing the voter registration application, it can be mailed or delivered to the Supervisor of Elections office. A voter identification card will be mailed to the applicant approximately two weeks after the application is processed.
