Dorothy Brandes died June 16, 2012.
She was born in New Milford, N.J., and lived in Vero Beach for 28 years, coming from Bergenfield, N.J.
She was a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper for the A&P Food chain.
She was a member of the New Jersey Chapter of Cystic Fibrosis.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Holmes, of Vero Beach and Claremont, Calif.; sister, Joan Scott, of Loveland, Colo.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry George Brandes; and son, Harry G. Brandes Jr.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. June 28 at Christ By The Sea United Methodist Church, Vero Beach.
