Virginia M. Spence, 92, died June 15, 2012, at Royal Palm Convalescent Center.
She was born in Providence, R.I., and moved to Spanish Lakes Country Club in Fort Pierce in 1981 and then to Vero Beach in 2003.
Before retirement, she was a secretary in the insurance business.
She attended Lakewood Park Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Rose, of North Kingston, R.I.; sister, Dorothy Wing, of Port St. Lucie; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Spence; and sister, Constance Drew.
Burial will be at a later date in Rhode Island.
