Ladies take to “Reelin’ On The River” on June 23 at Captain Butcher’s Marina

SEBASTIAN — The GFWC Sebastian River Junior Woman’s Club is hosting their 13th annual Flats Fishing Tournament at Captain Butcher’s Marina on June 23.

The captain’s meeting will take place on June 22 at 6 p.m. in the deck area of Captain Butcher’s Marina at 1732 Indian River Dr. in Sebastian.

The focus fish for this tournament are redfish, trout, and snook.

The entry fee is $35 per angler. Kids fish for free.

Captain’s bags and giveaways will be awarded to all anglers (big and small).

Those in the adult division who place in a fish category will receive the following cash prizes: first place $125, second place $100, and third place $75.

The angler who catches the redfish with the most spots will receive a custom rod, which is valued at $300.

Junior angler places will be determined by the three largest fish by weight which can be caught from the following: Trout, Redfish, Snook, Jack, Ladyfish, and Sheephead. Catfish will not be accepted.

The tournament is ideal for those who are interested in fishing in an inexpensive, fun, and family oriented fishing tournament.
