John Edward Kutch, 86, died June 15, 2012, at Consulate Health Care of Vero Beach.
He was born in Pioche, Nev., and was a lifelong resident of Sebastian.
He served in the Army during World War II. Before retirement, he worked for Piper Aircraft for 25 years as a mechanic.
He was a member of Fellowship Christian Community.
He organized the first Little League team in Sebastian, where he became a mentor and pitching coach.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Marion Kutch, of Sebastian; daughters, Sandra Groves, of Keystone Heights, and Jean Brooks and Linda Beatty, both of Vero Beach, and Donna Tenniswood, of Okeechobee; son, William Kutch, of Sebastian; sisters, Mary Lopez, of Burley, Idaho, and Linda Kutch, Sharon Lopez, Myrna Cotton, all of Fort Hall, Idaho; brothers, Carl Kutch and Richard John Kutch, both of Fort Hall; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. June 21 at Seawinds Funeral Home in Sebastian with the Rev. Dr. Ron Thomas officiating.
