Roy Gordon “Captain Roy” Carter, 76, died June 13, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center.
He was born in Orlando and lived in Vero Beach for 30 years, coming from Jacksonville.
He was an Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
He worked as an aircraft mechanic for the government.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Gail Carter, of Vero Beach; daughters, Dee Dee Williams, of High Springs and Teresa (Tessie) Miller, of Pensacola; stepsons, Guy Etter and Tony Etter, both of Vero Beach; sister, Martha Blair, of Vero Beach; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at a later date.
