Stephen S. Rice, 68, died June 8, 2012, at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian.
He was born in Springfield, Vt., and lived in Sebastian for six years, coming from Andover, N.H.
He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
He attended Elmhurst College in Elmhurst Ill., and was employed in the telephone industry with Ameritech, formerly Illinois Bell Company.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Diane Rice, of Sebastian; sons, Stephen Rice II, of Midland, N.J., and Thomas Rice, of Vallejo, Calif.; brother, Harold “Chip” Rice, of Concord, N.H.; and two grandchildren.
