Helen M. Nemchek, 87, died June 8, 2012, at the VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She was born in Stamford, Conn., and lived in Vero Beach for 20 years, coming from her birthplace.
Before retirement, she worked at Southern New England Telephone Co., Branson Instruments and Waldenbooks.
She was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church.
She was a member of the Polish American Club.
Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Ialenti, of Gardner, Mass., and Judy Wentz, of Vero Beach; son, Frank Nemchek Jr., of Fairfield, Conn.; sisters, Sophie Kelly, of Stamford and Wanda Gworek, of Daytona Beach; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Frank Nemchek; brothers, Chester, Benjamin and Albin Kozlowski; and sisters, Albina Dziecyk, Emily Franco and Hedy Warnecki.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon June 13 at St. John of the Cross in Vero Beach.
