Martha Rebecca King, 96, Vero Beach

Martha Rebecca King, 96, died June 4, 2012, at Florida Baptist Retirement Center in Vero Beach.

She was born in Mount Airy, Md., and lived in Vero Beach for 35 years, coming from Frederick, Md.

She was a member of Lakewood Park United Methodist Church in Fort Pierce.

She was a Lioness in the Lions Club and a member of the Lady Seabees.

Survivors include her nephews, John Hillery, Kenneth Hillery, Earl King, Henry King, Billy King, James King, Charles King and David King; and nieces, Barbara Schaffer, Pearl Clarke, Dorothy Hunter, Margaret Boyette, Opal Brown, Betty Baker, Patsy Allgood, Linda Butler, Peg Riggle, Janet McCloughan and Nancy Coonrod.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Noah King.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lakewood Park United Methodist Church, 5405 Turnpike Feeder Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34951.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. June 11 at Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach.

A service will be at 11 a.m. June 11 at the funeral home with the Rev. Jacqueline Levron officiating.

Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce.
