VERO BEACH — Vero Beach will swing to “Music of the 20’s, 30’s & 40’s” on Sunday, June 10, when the Space Coast Jazz Orchestra presents an afternoon of Big Band favorites at the Emerson Center, which is located at 1590 27th Ave. in Vero Beach.
The 2:30 p.m. concert will showcase memorable tunes from luminary bandleaders such as Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Harry James, Woody Herman, Glenn Miller, and more.
Featuring vocalist Carlia Alderman, trumpeter John Pendenza, and tenor saxophonist Dan Jordan, the Space Coast Jazz Orchestra will swing the biggest of the Big Band classics.

Artistic Director Aaron T. Collins is pleased to be launching his Summer Series with a jazz concert.

“Music of the 20’s, 30’s, & 40’s” is the first of four concerts scheduled for the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra’s 2012 Summer Series.
“An All-American Salute” (free admission), “Rachmaninoff’s Second Symphony,” and “Call of the Champions: Music of the Olympics” will round out the warm weather offerings.
