Indian River Habitat welcomes Home Center ReStore General Manager Sheradi Monroe

VERO BEACH — Indian River Habitat for Humanity Home Center ReStore has brought on board Sheradi Monroe, in the newly created position of General Manager, as the highly popular resale facility continues to expand its role as one of Habitat’s vital fundraising operations.

Before coming to Habitat, Monroe was a Store Team Leader at Target, and, prior to that, served as General Manager for Lord and Taylor, Lazarus, and Macy’s.

She holds a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, an M.F.A. from the University of Michigan, and an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix.

Monroe grew up in Dania Beach, FL, and resides here on the Treasure Coast with her husband, Derek, a retired sports writer.

“I am looking forward to working with Store Manager Dave Sneed and the great Home Center team in achieving the store’s mission to build more houses this year,” Monroe said.

“I’ve always loved serving in my community and church to support children and family issues. Coming to work for Indian River Habitat for Humanity is such a privilege in that I get the opportunity each day to work with other committed individuals to give a hand up to those less fortunate. My parents instilled in me the biblical principle of ‘to whom much is given, much is required,’ ” added Monroe.
