Gayle A. Schuldt died May 21, 2012.
She was born and raised in North Royalton, Ohio, and lived in Virginia for 38 years before moving to Vero Beach.
After graduating from the University of Florida, she taught health and physical education in the Virginia Beach Public School System for 32 years.
She coached field hockey, softball, gymnastics, and track, and supervised numerous student clubs and activities.
She was a member of the Hampton Yacht Club and Indian River Model Sailing Club.
Survivors include her husband, Kirt; daughter, Bethany Chirico; and brother, Stan Skaza.

A gathering will be from 6 to 7 p.m. May 24 at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 7 p.m.
A Mass will take place in Virginia Beach at a later date.
