VERO BEACH — Do you want to be a safe and smart boater?
The Vero Beach Power Squadron is offering a one day safe boating class on May 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The boating class offers useful materials and information about many boating safety topics in order to get a “Florida Safe Boating” ID card.
Operator’s licenses are available if born after January 1, 1988.
Some insurance companies offer discounts for completion of a boating class.
The cost is $35.
The course will be held at the squadron building at 301 Acacia Rd. in Vero Beach (northeast end of Merrill Barber Bridge).
