Ernest B. Weaver, 87, died May 12, 2012, at Consulate Health Care of Vero Beach.
He was born in Somerset, Pa., and lived in Sebastian for 10 years, coming from Franklin, N.C.
He was in the construction industry and retired from Vulcan Materials, Hollywood.
He served in the Navy as a radio man aboard the USS Missouri during World War II and was aboard during the signing of the Japanese surrender.
He was a member of Christ The King Lutheran Church, Sebastian.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Margaret Weaver, of Sebastian; son, Gerald Weaver, of Jacksonville; daughter, Terri Lumsden, of Palm Beach Gardens; brothers, Vernon Weaver, of Altoona, Pa., and Sheldon Weaver, of Homer City, Pa.; and sisters, Esther Bailey, of Buford, Ga., and Nancy Gorman, of Summerset, Pa.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Valerie Knight.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1301 Sebastian Blvd., Sebastian, FL 32958.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. May 21 at Christ The King Lutheran Church with Karen Leedahl, pastor, officiating.
