VERO BEACH — Last July, seasoned veterans of the Indian River legal community showed up their partners in the medical field by winning the Sawbones vs. Jawbones Charity Softball Game.
The doctors have decided to press their luck on the softball diamond yet again in the second Sawbones vs. Jawbones Charity Softball Game taking place Saturday, May 5, at 7 p.m. at Holman Stadium.
The public is invited to witness who is tougher, their doctor or their lawyer.
Tickets are $5 each or $10 per family and are available at the gate the day of the event. All proceeds benefit the United Way.
“Yes, we won easily last time, but they must be slow learners,” said a member of the Jawbones team, anonymously.
“The ultimate goal, besides avoiding injury, is to raise money for charity when people need it most,” said organizer Andrew B. Metcalf of Green & Metcalf, P.A
