FELLSMERE — Indian River Habitat for Humanity’s vibrant Women Build team is planning a special build Saturday, May 5, to celebrate Women Build Week. According to WB leader Sue Croom, the 2011 Mother-Daughter Plus event was so popular it’s being repeated this year.
If you are interested, get your crew together and join other WB gals in Fellsmere at Habitat’s Grace Meadows neighborhood on May 5. You’ll gather at the jobsite at 7:30 a.m. and work until Noon, putting siding on, among other tasks.
WB has experienced crew leaders, so it’s alright if you are a construction newbie. You’ll learn a lot and make some wonderful friends.
There is a snack break at 10 a.m. and always plenty of water.
Wear closed-toe shoes, bring a hat and sunblock, and plan on having a great time for a wonderful cause.
Last year’s build had lots of mother/daughter teams, several sister teams, and even a few 3-generation teams.
