VERO BEACH — Plumbago Volunteer Services is proud to announce they have been awarded a grant from the John’s Island Foundation.
Plumbago Volunteer Services has been granted $7,055 to purchase a Volunteer Information and Recruitment Center.
This is the second year that John’s Island Foundation has granted Plumbago monies for necessities to help Plumbago with their mission of providing volunteers to community-service organizations.
The Volunteer Information and Recruitment Center will help to attract even more volunteers while at public venues such as “Downtown Friday”, Hibiscus Festival, golf tournaments, etc.
Thank you, John’s Island Foundation, for your grant to help us attract and provide the necessary volunteers for the non-profit agencies in Indian River County. Your generosity has made it possible for these service organizations to thrive even through hard economic times.
