Looking for volunteers to help with “National River Cleanup” on April 28

SEBASTIAN — The Friends of St. Sebastian River is participating in the Indian River County “Day of Service” and the American Rivers “National River Cleanup” events on Saturday, April 28, with a river/lagoon cleanup.

Please join us by land or by sea. We will be cleaning up onshore, on the water, and on the spoil islands in the lagoon.  

Kayaks will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, or feel free to bring your own.

Our cleanup will be held at Moore’’s Point Park in Sebastian, located at the northern end of Indian River Dr. where it meets US 1, just prior to the bridge into Brevard County.

Our cleanup starts at 8:30 a.m. Cleaning supplies will be provided.

Please bring water, sunscreen, gloves, etc.
