Seeking donations for the Bicycle Drive on April 28 to help the poor and needy

VERO BEACH — If you have a bicycle gathering dust in your garage, consider giving it to someone less fortunate. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is collecting bicycles and bicycle parts (e.g. tires, seats, handle bars, chains, and pedals) as one of the several community projects offered during the 4th Annual Indian River County Day of Service happening on Saturday, April 28.

Orchid Island Bikes and Kayaks will also be providing their support on the day of the event. Items collected will benefit The Source, an outreach center for homeless individuals and families at-risk.

The Indian River County Day of Service is a collaborative effort of hundreds of volunteers, civic leaders, community organizations, members of all faith, and faith based organizations offering a helping hand to people in need through numerous community service projects.

To find out how you, too, can get involved, or to register as a volunteer, please visit www. IRCDayOfService.org.
