Robert Raymond Gestrich, 81, died April 13, 2012.
He was born in Steubenville, Ohio, and lived in Vero Beach for 20 years.
He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War.
He was a volunteer at Indian River Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Luella Gestrich, of Vero Beach; sons, Dr. Eric Gestrich, of Sarasota, Kevin Gestrich, of Nova Scotia, Marc Gestrich, of Mystic, Conn., and Todd Gestrich, of Marietta, Ga.; daughters, Gayle Sudeck, of Marietta, Ga., and Lisa Polaske, of Wildwood, Mo.; sister, Betty Chiofolo, of North Canton, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Hawkins.
Services will be private.
