Lonnie J. Gore, 69, died April 4, 2012, at his home in Fellsmere.
He was a lifetime resident of Fellsmere.
He retired from the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office after 21 years of service as a deputy sheriff.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fellsmere.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Sharon Gore, of Fellsmere; son, James Scott Gore, of Sebastian; daughters, Ginger Gayle Burkeen, of Fellsmere and Rhonda Taylor Hall, of St. Cloud; sisters, Josephine Drawdy, of Fort Pierce and Sylvia Jean Shearer, of Fort Pierce; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Alva and Vernon.
A celebration of life service will be at 7 p.m. April 16 at First Baptist Church of Fellsmere with the Rev. David Johns officiating.
