Albert Richardson Hunt, 90, Vero Beach

Albert Richardson Hunt, 90, died March 29, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.

He was born in Philadelphia and lived in Vero Beach for 30 years, coming from Malvern, Pa.

He was a mechanical specialist for 25 years with General Electric Aerospace Engineers of Valley Forge, Pa., before his retirement.

He served as 2nd lieutenant “Fly Boy” in the Army Air Forces during World War II.

He was a prisoner of war and earned the Purple Heart.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach, American Legion and Wood Carvers of Vero Beach.

Survivors include his wife, Sybilla M. Hunt; daughter, Carol E. Swartz, of Kissimmee; three grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughters, Janet Giles and Susan Hunt; brother, George Hunt; and sister, Amelia Stahl.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Building Fund, 520 Royal Palm Blvd., Vero Beach, FL 32960.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. April 14 at First Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach.
