New VNA Hospice thrift store opens its doors

SEBASTIAN — The VNA of the Treasure Coast is pleased to announce that the Hidden Treasures Hospice thrift store in Sebastian is now open.

The store is located at 11646 US 1 in Sebastian, just south of Riverview Park. The store is in the Sebastian Square shopping plaza next to Party Treasures, Napa Auto Parts, and the Indian River Tax Collector’s office.

Currently, the store hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Proceeds from the store help VNA Hospice provide care for Indian River county patients with life-limiting illnesses and also support the day-to-day operating expenses of the VNA Hospice House.

To reach the store directly or schedule a large-item donation pickup, please contact Theresa Ooley, Store Manager, at (772) 581-5828.

VNA Hospice is the only provider of hospice care in Indian River county.

If you are interested in volunteering at Hidden Treasures, please contact Tracey Soethe at (772) 978-5553.

About the VNA

The VNA of the Treasure Coast provides home healthcare services—including Medicare-reimbursed and private-duty nursing; home health aides; physical, speech, and occupational therapy; in-home companions; and personal transportation—throughout the Treasure Coast.

The agency is also the only licensed hospice provider in Indian River county, offering end-of-life care in patients’ homes, local hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities, and the VNA Hospice House.

The non-profit organization also provides community wellness services such as flu vaccinations, no-cost blood pressure/blood sugar screenings, and speakers on health-related topics for local community groups.
