INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Time is beginning to dwindle for participants to pre-register for the 5th Annual Indian River Habitat for Humanity HabiTrot to Higher Education 5K Run/Walk on Saturday April 7 at South Beach Park in Vero Beach.
A 1-mile Bunny Hop for Kids will take place at 7:30 a.m., while the 5K will start at 8 a.m.
The HabiTrot supports Habitat’s Scholarship Fund, formed to help give homeowners and their children a chance at higher education.
The HabiTrot pre-registration fee is $20; day-of-event registration, $25; Bunny Hop registration, $10. Day-of registration begins at 6:45 a.m.
Each participant will receive a t-shirt and other goodies. Water and refreshments will be available on race day, and there will be live entertainment.
