SEBASTIAN – The Sebastian Elks met March 10 with fellow EL-DOE’s, Elks, family members and visiting dignitaries from other Lodges, gathered at the Sebastian Elks Lodge #2714 to celebrate a very significant event in the history of the Sebastian EL-DOE’s. Betty Groff, a member of that organization for many years, was recently installed as State President of The Florida Ladies of Elks, (FLOE) for the year 2011-2012.
Groff’s main objective during her presidency is to continue helping needy children of Florida who require therapy for their disabilities through the Children’s Therapy Services and also the Youth Camp in Umatilla Florida, these being the main charities of the Elks.
Betty’s theme for her term as State President of FLOE this year is, “The key to my heart is love, everlasting love for the children.”
