Michael James Olkowski, 65, died March 23, 2012, at home.
He was born in Greenpoint, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for 15 years, coming from Portland, Ore.
He was a printer in the Air Force for 20 years, retiring as a teacher and tech sergeant for the Joint Armed Services in 1985.
He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was of the Roman Catholic faith.
Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Olkowski, of Vero Beach; brother, Robert Olkowski, of Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.; sister, Christina Scigowski, of Commack, N.Y.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Paula Fink; and brother, Kenneth Olkowski.
Graveside services will be at 2:15 p.m. March 28 at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth.
Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
