John “Jack” Maroney, 64, died March 21, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Bridgeport, Conn., and lived in Vero Beach since 2003, coming from Bethel, Conn.
He was a mechanic with Velde Ford in Vero Beach and was featured in the Velde Ford commercials.
Survivors include his daughters, Stacy O’Hara, of Gaylordsville, Conn., and Jennifer Torres, of Danbury, Conn.; stepdaughter, Danielle Howley, of Bethel, Conn.; sisters, Joan Haines, of Newington, Conn., and Deborah Lato, of Orange Park; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Maroney.

A sharing memories gathering will take place at his home in Vero Beach from 1 to 3 p.m. March 25.
