INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Childcare Resources of Indian River and the Exchange Club of Indian River are pleased to announce the Fourth Annual Touch A Truck Family Festival on March 31 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Indian River County Fairgrounds. Touch A Truck Family Festival once again promises fun for the entire family. There will be lots of big trucks and vehicles for children to touch and explore, plus games, face painting, live entertainment, bounce houses, arts and crafts, and a delicious festival food court.
This family favorite community-based event will feature a hands-on exhibit of various trucks such as: emergency, transportation, construction, agricultural and large equipment vehicles. Children will have the opportunity to climb aboard these vehicles, blow the horns, and discover how these complex machines operate and provide valuable services to our community.
“The Exchange Club is honored to partner with Childcare Resources for Touch A Truck this year,” says Exchange Club President RJ MacMillan. “Our two organizations have similar missions – to serve at-risk children in Indian River County – and joining forces for this children’s event is a perfect fit.”
Admission to the festival is $5 per person or $20 per family (up to five people), and children two and under are free. Event proceeds support affordable quality early education programs for working families and efforts to prevent child abuse.
The Touch A Truck Family Festival committee is still looking for kid-friendly trucks to participate and volunteers to help the day of the event.
