SEBASTIAN — Dr. Grant Gilmore will be the guest speaker at the March 27 meeting of the Friends of St. Sebastian River. Dr. Gilmore has been studying the Indian River Lagoon for almost 40 years and he will give a presentation on what has been learned over the last half-century or so.
He will also be talking about some of the rare and endangered fish species in the St. Sebastian River and some recent threats to at least one of them.
The meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. at the North Indian River County Library, 1001 Sebastian Blvd., Sebastian, and all are welcome to attend. For more information, visit www.fssr.org.
