Adrian Bruininks, 83, died March 14, 2012.
He was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., coming to Vero Beach in 1988 from Miami.
He worked in outside sales in the wholesale plumbing industry before retirement.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Forces.
He graduated from Hope College, Holland, Mich., with a bachelor of science degree in 1953.
He was a lifetime member of the Valley City Lodge 86, Free and Accepted Masons of Grand Rapids and the Disabled American Veterans, and a member of the American Legion Post 39 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles 4374, both of Vero Beach.
Survivors include his son, John Bruininks, of Gainesville, Ga.; daughters, Dr. Debra Davidson, of Schwarvenach, Germany, and Betty Bruininks, of Pompano Beach; companion of 18 years, Carol Houger, of Vero Beach; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Gore Bruininks; and sister, Alice Herington.
Services will be at a later date in Traverse City, Mich.
