David Merton Fanaro Sr., 72, died March 14, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Perry, N.Y., and moved to Sebastian seven years ago from Port St. Lucie.
He previously had lived in Hollywood.
Before retirement, he was an engineer with Rolling Hills Resort in Davie.
He was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Louise Fanaro, of Sebastian; sons, Michael Ferrier, of Virginia Beach, Va., William Becker, of Phoenix, Ariz., Mark Becker, of Hollywood and David Fanaro Jr., of West Palm Beach; daughters, Cathy Ferrier, of Virginia Beach and Crystal Chezem, of Sebastian; sister. Ann Treadwell, of Conyers, Ga.; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
No local services are planned at this time.
