INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Sebastian Women’s Club and Dragonfly Productions will host “An Evening with Andrew Lloyd Webber” on Saturday, March 24, at the Sebastian Elks Lodge, 731 Fleming St. in Sebastian.
The evening begins with cocktails at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m., and the show will begin at 7 p.m. The unique event will showcase musical numbers from several Broadway shows, including “Cats”, “Jesus Christ Superstar”, Evita”, “Phantom of the Opera”, “The Wizard of Oz” and more.
The dinner menu includes salad, chicken breast, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans almondine and dessert. Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased from Sebastian Women’s Club members, at the Elks Lodge, or by calling Bev Bell (772) 581-3976.
The gala dinner show is a fundraiser for the club’s high school scholarship fund. The club has awarded scholarships to deserving high school seniors from the Sebastian River High School since 1992.
“The cost of college tuition, room and board is very high and rising every year,” said Bev Bell, the club’s second vice president and fundraising committee chair. “It is our goal to help deter the cost of college and to assist a young woman in fulfilling her dreams.”
Graduating SRHS seniors may complete a scholarship application by downloading the form at www.Go-Sharks.org and navigating to the local scholarship link.
“We are grateful to Dragonfly Productions and the Sebastian Elks for their support in this endeavor,” Bell said, “as together we partner to serve young women in our area.” The Club is looking forward to the community’s response to this fun way to support deserving students.
Seating is limited, so call Bev Bell or visit the Elks Lodge for tickets at your earliest convenience.
