Nordwest Deutsche Philharmonic Concert at Community Church on March 13

VERO BEACH — The Indian River Symphonic Association will present a concert by the Nordwest Deutsche Philharmonic on Tuesday, March 13. In existence for 60 years, this orchestra has recently toured much of Europe and Japan to great acclaim.

Eugene Tzigane, the principal conductor since 2010, has been awarded prizes in several international competitions for Orchestral Conducting and will lead the orchestra for this performance.

Amit Peled has performed as cello soloist with leading symphony orchestras in many of the world’s most famous venues.  He is a professor at the Peabody Conservatory of Music at Johns Hopkins, and performs on a rare Andrea Guarneri cello, made in about 1689.

The evening’s performance will include Zoltan Kodaly (Galanta Dances), Victor Herbert (Cello Concerto No. 2 in E Minor, Op. 30) and Amit Peled (Cellist, Johannes Brahms Symphony No. 1 in C Minor, Op. 68).

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Community Church of Vero Beach.  Individual tickets are $50 each.

For information or to order tickets, call the ticket office at (772) 778-1070. For those who are unable to get tickets in advance, returned tickets are almost always available at the ticket office on the evening of the concert.
