Explore the great outdoors with your grandchild at ELC on March 7

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Space is still available in the “For Grandparents and Grandkids” class at the ELC on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

This is a great opportunity for grandparents to share special quality time with their 4-8-year-old grandchildren. Explore the outdoors at either a local beach or on the ELC island campus.

Each session is different; after all, you never know what you’ll find in a field exploration. This hour long program is led by Rosemary Badger, an environmental educator who specializes in early childhood education.

Reservations are required. Cost is $10/family ($8/family with ELC membership).  Consider joining the ELC to receive a discount.  Call (772) 589-5050 to reserve your special nature encounter.

The Environmental Learning Center is located at 255 Live Oak Dr. in north Vero Beach, off County Road 510 at the end of the Wabasso Bridge. Its 64-acre campus includes exhibit areas, native plant gardens, picnic facilities, gift shop, and visitor center.
