VERO BEACH — Care Net Pregnancy Center of Indian River County invites local residents to join them on Saturday March 17 for their annual Bridges to Life Walk. Registration for the walk begins at 9 a.m. at Riverside Park.
Every year, hundreds of local residents walk a five-mile route over both Vero Beach bridges, raising as much as $40,000 to benefit the Care Net Pregnancy Center. Participants may also choose to do a leisurely one-mile walk “Under the Oaks,” rather than the five miles.
Christian FM will be on location, and Edmund Nalzaro and family will be performing live music to add to the festivities in the park.
The walk is open to the entire community for participation. Walkers raise money by asking their friends and associates to sponsor them; walkers who raise more than $150 will receive a free tee shirt.
All funds raised go towards the operations of Care Net Pregnancy Center, as they provide services and support for women and families faced with a crisis pregnancy.
