Small is big: Gallery 14’s fourth annual juried show and sale opens March 1

VERO BEACH — Gallery 14 presents the fourth annual “Small is Big – a miniature show and sale”, to be held March 1 through March 31. This juried and judged show will feature art work from the community and beyond that measures no larger than 12 inches in any direction.

A gala reception and award ceremony will be held at the Gallery on Friday, March 2, from 5–8 P.M. in conjunction with the Downtown, Dine and Design District Friday Night Stroll. This event is free to the public and all are invited to attend.

The varied work will consist of oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, graphite, mixed media, collage, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, original prints and photography. Work by Gallery 14 partners: Edgardo Abello, Leigh Bennett, Lila Blakeslee, Mary Ann Hall, Virginia Knapp, and Barbara Landry.  Deborah Morrell Polackwich and Dorothy Napp Schindel will also be on view.

The purpose of the show is to once again offer local artists a venue for selling smaller work.  “There are so many places around the house where this kind of art can hang, it is easy to transport and generally more affordable than larger pieces,” says managing artist partner Lila Blakeslee.
