John Necco III, 71, died Feb. 28, 2012, at VNA/Hospice House, Vero Beach.
He was born in Boston, and lived in Vero Beach for eight years, coming from Fort Pierce.
He served in the Air Force and Coast Guard and retired from the Coast Guard Reserve.
He retired as a detective from the Boston Police Department.
Private services will be in Boston at a later date.
Arrangements are by Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory.
