Dr. Paul Remi Goyette, 74, Vero Beach

Dr. Paul Remi Goyette, 74, died Feb. 22, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.

He was born in Putnam, Conn., and moved to Vero Beach seven years ago, coming from Canterbury, Conn.

Before retirement, he was a dentist in Moosup, Conn., for 30 years.

A wine enthusiast, he spent almost five years with Sharpe Hill Vineyard, Pomfret, Conn., working in the wine industry.

He was active in the Canterbury Republican Party.

He was a member of Snake Meadow Club, Danielson, Conn.; St. John Catholic Church, Plainfield, Conn.; and Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Patricia Goyette; sons, Joseph Goyette, of Putnam, Jean-Paul Goyette, of Vero Beach and James Paul Goyette, of Dayville, Conn.; daughter, Francine Zampini, of Westfield, Mass.; sister, Theresa Swynar, of Plainfield; brother, Roland Goyette, of Brooklyn, Conn.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanne Bergeron; and brother, Phillip Goyette.

Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association Florida Chapter, 3242 Parkside Center Circle, Tampa, FL 33619-0907.

Services: A memorial Mass will be at a later date at St. John’s Catholic Church, Plainfield.
