James Stevenson Wade, 79, died Feb. 19, 2012, at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian.
He was born in Detroit, Mich., and lived on the Treasure Coast 20 years, coming from Redford, Mich.
He was an Army veteran serving in the Korean War.
He had been a graphic arts supervisor for Ford Motor Co.
He was an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Vero Beach, where he was a past president of the congregation.
He also was a member of the American Legion Post 39 in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Nellie A. Wade, of Sebastian; sons, Nicholas Wade, of Walled Lake, Mich., and James Wade, of Holly, Mich.; and four grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 900 27th Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 25 at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Vero Beach with military honors by VFW Post 3918.
Interment will be at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer Memorial Garden.
